The UN Convention on the rights of the child
When the Child Convention becomes Swedish law from 1 January 2020, it will have a higher status.
This does not mean any new rights for the children, who are already treated according to the convention. However it places greater responsibility on public authorities and other decision-makers to apply the rights in the convention so that they have a greater impact in assessments, matters and decisions that concern children.
With long-standing experience within the municipal sector, we know the challenges in the decision-making process and we have practical expertise in simplifying and quality-assuring the processes. We would be happy to help your organisation to review decision templates and working methods.
